About this deal

However with a gas modulating boiler this is counter productive, as every time the boiler is switched off by the thermostat any heat in boiler is lost out of the flue, and on switching on again it does so at full output, so the boiler never gets time to modulate and the mark/space switching does seem to work, but causes the boiler to work inefficiently. The Honeywell CM707 thermostat is a heating control device that allows you to easily manage the temperature of your home. Occasionally, nothing seems to be able to turn it off- not lowering the set temp, switching to manual, or even turning the unit off. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Each day can be set with its own programme, or the programme can be copied to other days- so every day of the week can have the same programme- or you can have a different programme at weekends etc.

If the app is asking you what the st9100 controls it’s probably so it can work out what instructions to give you. Some boilers like Bosch have not adopted OpenTherm, they have their own modulating thermostats, but these only work in one room, so unless open plan home not really very good control, it would seem the Hive system was designed to get around this problem when boiler manufacturers only allow on/off electrical control. It is compatible with a wide range of heating systems, including combi boilers, and can be wired or used wirelessly with an RF module. We also have a third on/off thermostat, one which works out how much the temperature will over shoot, and turns off before the target is reached, but does not use a mark/space ratio to adjust boiler output. It is rather unusual though to have a Honeywell ST9100C providing time control that is wired to programmable room thermostats that also provide time control.

In the list of questions someone asked how many daily on/off setting does it have, and the vendor replied up to 6. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The Honeywell CM707 Programmable Room Stat 7 day is an easy-to-use programmable thermostat that allows you to set different temperatures for different times of the day and days of the week.

They mention that it is easy to install and operate, and that it can be easily programmable even without the instruction manual.I want to replace the thermostat with a Nest Thermostat e which I bought, but I'm struggling with the wiring. With over 15 years’ experience of bathroom fitting, coupled with over 10 years plumbing retail experience we are confident we can meet the needs of the most demanding projects. It's hard to see how this device could be improved, as it seems to cover most options which anyone could need to control their heating system, so I've given it 5 stars. By installing wired thermostats on to the heating valves you will effectively be getting rid of the zones, though it will cost you more.

I have bought a Tado Wireless Thermostat Starter Kit and I have installed the wireless receiver to the boiler and paired the wireless thermostat to it. You will probably need to completely unwire the room stat and put the wireless receiver where the hw control is. It's attractive, and there is an openable cover which normally hides most of the buttons, except the ones needed for everyday functions. So, the 'live' switching wires that were in A and B (ie the switch, would connect to the Hive Single channel terminals (1) and (3) which are also an on/off switch, exactly the same as the CM707 is.You need to alter the wiring at the time clock too, you cannot just connect the wiring from the old stat as it exists as the nest runs on 12v d c and the wiring you have at the stat is 240v so you will simply blow the nest. The T3 Honeywell Programmable Thermostat - Volt Free is a high-quality, easy-to-use programmable thermostat that can help you save energy and money on your heating bills. The Nest thermostats are really designed for hot air systems, there is no provision to even link to a TRV. Honeywell Home offering automatic time and temperature control, this Honeywell CM700 wired 7 day programmable thermostat is supplied with batteries, fixing screws and instructions, along with a moulded backplate with trunking guides and wiring breakouts for ease of installation. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.

The optimising setting means that you do not have to guess how long it takes to heat up the house/room - well not much anyway. Equally though it can be programmed for completely different times every day of the week making it much more customable for individual lifestyles.

I’m not an Engineer and so this is a DIY project for my own home so any advice in laymans terms would be extremely helpful. In your wiring diagram on the multi channel hive, you show what looks like an internal loop between the Live terminal and the others. As I said in earlier post, I wired the L and N wires from the CM707 to the Permanent Live and Permanent Neutral on HIve single channel receiver. But you also say "New Build" it is required to have zones in new builds, all that is required is TRV heads, but often one finds zone valves, but the Nest system does not seem to be designed to work with zones, EPH do an OpenTherm thermostat which can be set as Master/Slave but I know of no others, often the zone valves need removing to fit the likes of EvoHome or Wiser. This will also need wiring changes as right now, the wall thermostats control the opening of the valves.
