About this deal

Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina of MinaLima designed the cover, stating that they found the book funny and so they "decided to be cheeky" with its cover, pointing out that the "R" in J. I can only imagine the fun he had exploring its shores and depths when he was a student at the great school. I didn’t like this one as much as the first two, it was more of a refresher, going into the history and origin of objects and places we’re already familiar with (time-turners, Marauder’s Map, Sorting Hat etc). The second, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, was released in 2018 and the third, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was released in 2022.

Details are provided about specific class subjects which allowed me to craft my ideal Hogwarts schedule as I read. The incomplete and unreliable book gives information on the authors decisions and plots and why she chose them.I've loved learning more about this world and I hope they bring out some more short books in the future! Rowling hints about how she first intended to create and change certain things in the books and gives a general insight into her creative writing process concerning the Harry Potter books. It’s not a guided tour, nor is it entirely complete, but you’re now privy to some of the famous wizarding school’s many secrets. Sean Harris, her best friend in the Upper Sixth owned a turquoise Ford Anglia, which she says inspired the one in her books.

I really LOVE putting these Harry Potter short stories into a series of books, all of the information will be better organized. Rowling tried several methods of house sorting before landing on this idea, which is one of my favorite aspects of attending Hogwarts. You'll venture into the Hogwarts grounds, become better acquainted with its more permanent residents, learn more about lessons and discover secrets of the castle . In this third book, you’ll get nineteen short stories focused in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the most famous school in Britain’s literature!Inspired by the original companion volume, it was the first in a series of new adventures featuring wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander. A few said that it might be not worth the money - I might agree, since it's very short and you keep wanting more, but the illustrations are beautifl, J.

I know by now that there will be special editions of the first book being published next year because of the story's anniversary - four versions, one for each Hogwarts House.just as the human mind cannot comprehend time, so it cannot comprehend the damage that will ensue if we presume to tamper with its laws.

It felt even shorter than the other two eBooks simply because there wasn’t really new information in it. The beheading of nearly headless Nick and the story behind it was fun to read about, along with the Mirror of Erised and the Sorting Hat. The Ministry of Magic felt strongly, however, that to construct an additional wizarding station in the middle of London would stretch even the Muggles’ notorious determination not to notice magic when it was exploding in front of their faces. At the age of nine, Rowling moved to Church Cottage in the Gloucestershire village of Tutshill, close to Chepstow, Wales. Dumbledore knows that life can pass you by while you are clinging on to a wish that can never be – or ought never to be – fulfilled. She attended St Michael's Primary School, a school founded by abolitionist William Wilberforce and education reformer Hannah More. Next, the Hogwarts Portraits are given their time in the spotlight; these are a fascinating bunch to say the least. Covering the anecdotes about Mirror of Erised, pensieve, the philosopher’s stone, the sword of Gryffindor and the chamber of secrets, I wished it had more secrets to be revealed!
